Feb 24, 2026 – Insignificant
Streams – Through George Matheson, Cowman speaks to some of the discussion from yesterday, “Perhaps you are very dissatisfied with yourself. You are not a genius, have no distinctive gifts, and are inconspicuous when it comes to any special abilities…. Yet in spite of this you may live a great life. John the Baptist never performed a miracle, but Jesus said of him, ‘Among those born of women there is no one greater’ (Luke 7:28). His mission was to be ‘a witness to the light’ (John 1:8), and that may be your mission and mine…. Be willing to be only a voice that is heard but not seen…. Do the most everyday and insignificant tasks knowing that God can see…. We are doing more good than we know.
Utmost – 2 Corinthians 12:15 – “I will very gladly spend and be spent for you.” Chambers explains, “The delight of sacrifice is that I lay down my life for my Friend, not fling it away, but deliberately lay my life out for Him and His interests in other people, not for a cause…. Paul said he knew how to be a ‘doormat’ without resenting it, because the mainspring of his life was devotion to Jesus.”

I invite you to spend time enjoying My Presence and nourishing your soul with My Word…. This collaboration with Me empowers you to handle whatever comes your way as you go through the day.” See Isaiah 50:4 and Psalm 62:8.
Prevail #55 – 1 Samuel 2:1 – “My heart rejoices in the Lord! The Lord has made me strong. Now I have an answer for my enemies; I rejoice because you rescued me.” Larson speaks the truth that we all know very well, “The believer’s story is one of setbacks and divine setups. The enemy opposes us and God defends us. We lost heart and God strengthens our hearts. We break down and God breaks through…. You have your days of ups and downs, and God will be with you every step of the way. But remember this: He cannot strengthen a hard heart, only a humble one. Stay tender and trust Him.”
Power – Hebrews 4:13 – “Nothing in all creation is hidden from God. Everything is naked and exposed before his eyes, and he is the one to whom we are accountable.” Joyce reminds us that, “Every action is a seed we sow, and we will reap a harvest from our seeds…. if you invest your life in learning what is the right thing to do and then do it with God’s help, you will reap the harvest.”
JC – “You are constantly aware of limitations: your own and others’. But there is no limit to My Love; it fills all of space, time, and eternity…. For now, the knowledge of My loving Presence is sufficient to carry you through each day.”
Simpson uses Romans 6:14 to remind us that we are under grace, not the law and points out that, “The very fact, that it was for so slight a fault that Moses lost his inheritance, makes all the more emphatic the solemn sentence of the law…. But to the glory of the grace of God we can add that what the law could not do for Moses the Gospel did….”
