August 18, 2025 – Redeemed
Utmost – “Beware of allowing anything to soften a hard word of Jesus Christ’s.”
Streams – “There is never a majestic mountain without a deep valley and there is no birth without pain. Daniel Crawford.”
JA – “…the past is beyond the realm of change and cannot be undone….don’t waste your energy bemoaning bad choices….Instead, ask Me to forgive you and help you learn….try to imagine Me cutting the chains from your legs….Rejoice that I redeem your failures.”
John 8:36 – “Therefore if the Son makes you free, you shall be free indeed.”
Prevail 230 – JA referenced Matthew 11:28 – 29 and so does Prevail (are You re-emphasizing this message for a reason?)– “Then Jesus said, ‘Come to Me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest….For My yoke is easy to bear, and the burden I give you is light.” Larson writes, “Jesus has incredible compassion for the weary soul….not to say we won’t experience seasons of hard work….But always, amidst such times, God offers provisions of grace, exit ramps for rest, and His shoulders to help carry the weight of our burdens….Find rest for your soul….It’s not only possible to experience replenishment right in the midst of these trying seasons, it’s essential.”
JC – “Expect to encounter adversity in your life….[the van is coming back to our house tomorrow] The main problem with an easy life is that it masks your need for Me….cry out to Me….[help me sell this van!] Watch Me working on your behalf….[it is a relief to watch and wait]”
Power – Psalm 107:2 – “Let the redeemed of the Lord say so, who He has delivered from the hand of the adversary.” Joyce writes, “You make a confession of faith because you believe God’s Word, not because you see or feel a certain thing. Choose to believe what God says, and say the same thing by faith.”
Max – 1 John 5:14 – “This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to His will, he hears us.” After the prayer service this morning, I was telling Don about George Mueller and the fog. That verse in 1 John makes me think that was what was simple about Mueller’s prayer. He MAY have said something like, “Lord, You set the path before me and at present You have me set to speak in Quebec so I thank You for clearing this fog to enable safe and speedy passage.”
Max writes, “Our prayers unlock the storehouses of heaven….As thrilling evidence consider the case of the centurion and his servant [Matthew 8:8]….Jesus was so impressed with the faith of the soldier that he answered the request on the spot. “ Mueller had that kind of faith. Lord, I want that kind of faith. Please keep maturing and changing me——
(Note: Headed back to the retina specialist to check something new. Lord, thank You for going before me and being with me and healing my vision!)
