JA – “I LIVE IN YOU! I am everything you could possibly need in a Savior-God, and I am alive within you…. I want My Life in you to overflow and impact other people. As you interact with them, Ask Me to live through you and love through you….”

Days – “God hath set some in the church … helps” (1 Cor. xii. 28). Simpson explains, “In the apostle’s lists of officers in the church the ‘helps’ are mentioned before the ‘governments.’ By the ministry of prayer, by the ministry of giving, by the ministry of encouragement, by the shining face and mute pressure of the hand, and a little word of cheer, and by the countless ways in which we can help, or at least keep from hindering, we can all find still the footprints of Aquila and Priscilla, if we want to follow them. It is a great grace to be able to rejoice in another’s work and pour our lives, like affluent rivers, into great streams…. Beloved, are you helping…. your pastor, your brother, your husband, your mother, your fellow-worker, and when the harvest comes shall he that soweth and he that reapeth rejoice together?”

Power – Philippians 3:12 NLT – “I don’t mean to say that I have already achieved these things or that I have already reached perfection. But I press on to possess that perfection for which Christ Jesus first possessed me.”  Joyce points out that, “It is our job to press toward the mark of perfection, and yet the Bible teaches us we will not attain perfection until Jesus, the Perfect One, comes to take us to live with Him for eternity (see 1 Corinthians 13:9-10). We can grow; we can change and do better and better. But if we obtained perfection in our behavior, we would no longer need Jesus – and that is never going to happen. We can, however, have perfect hearts toward God by fully wanting His will and doing all we can to work with the Holy Spirit toward that goal.”

Streams – From selected sources, Cowman reminds us that, whatever our service to God is, it is valuable, “The adult coral invertebrates, known as polyps, work underwater constructing coral reefs. They do so never even imagining they are building the foundation of a new island, which will someday support plants and animals and will be a home where the children of God will be born and equipped for eternal glory as ‘co-heirs with Christ’ (Rom. 8:17). Beloved, if your place in God’s army is hidden and secluded, do not grumble and complain. Do not seek to run from His will and the circumstances in which He has placed you. Remember, without the polyps, the coral reefs would never be built, and God calls some people to be spiritual polyps. He is looking for those who are willing to serve in places hidden from the sight of others, yet in full view of heaven, and who are sustained by the Holy Spirit.”

JL – “Glorious God, Your Word teaches that I am being transformed into Your image from Glory to Glory. I find this verse both comforting and thrilling! I’m grateful that Your Spirit is orchestrating this massive work in me…. This may be a painful process, but I know that Your wisdom, ways, and will are perfect…. In Your beautiful Name, Jesus, Amen.”
