JC – “Seek My Face, and you will find more than you ever dreamed possible. Let Me displace worry at the center of your being…. Actually, My Light shines on every situation you will ever face.”

Max – 1 Peter 4:8 – “Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins.”  What Max writes about today is something that happens in every generation that we all need to be wary of – differences of opinions – “Shouting feels good. But does it do any good? It seems to me there is a lot of shouting. Is it possible to have an opinion without having a fit? ‘Do not argue about opinions’ (Romans 14:1 NCV). It’s one thing to have an opinion; it’s something else to have a fight. Let’s reason together. Let’s work together. And if discussion fails, let love succeed. If love covers a multitude of sins, can it not cover a multitude of opinions? Resist the urge to shout.”

Utmost – Chambers writes, “Whenever God gives a vision to a saint, He puts him, as it were, in the shadow of His hand, and the saint’s duty is to be still and listen…. When God gives a vision and darkness follows, wait…. Never try and help God fulfil His word…. The one thing for which we are all being disciplined is to know that God is real…. Nothing that other saints do or say can every perturb the one who is built on God.”

Power – Joyce writes, “The Roman poet Horace wrote: ‘Rule your mind or it will rule you.’ The enemy wants your mind; he want to control or influence as much of your thinking as possible, but you do not have to let him. The key to overcoming him is learning to discipline your thinking, and disciplining yourself to believe you are disciplined is the beginning.”

Prevail #19 – Larson reminds us, “Never underestimate the spiritual power of a dedicated man or woman who knows how to intercede with God.”

Streams – Cowman tells us, “Arthur Rubinstein, the great pianist, once said, ‘If I neglect practicing one day, I notice; two days, my friends notice; three days, the public notices.’ It’s the old principle ‘Practice makes perfect.’ We must continue believing, praying, and doing His will.”

Today was shortened because I have short people in the house – grandchildren! It was a last-minute request, so I didn’t have time to prepare the blog ahead of time; but, we are always glad to have time with any of our grandchildren (and their parents)! I’m able to get even this much in because it’s rest time and I have a minute to myself – well, a minute at a time between visits from my grandson telling me about scenes in the movie I put on to TRY to keep him “resting” (he doesn’t have to actually sleep). It’s funny, I should’ve saved yesterday’s photo for today because one of his visits had him laughing about a scene involving you know what. The years go by fast so we have to enjoy any minutes that are gifted to us!
