Feb 17, 2026 – Blue Sky

The sky, as I headed out this morning, spoke to me about how God doesn’t reveal everything to us all at once. In the first photo, there was barely a peek, through the white clouds, at the vast blue sky behind them. An hour or so later, more of the sky began appearing, but not in any organized or expected manner which is sort of how God tends to reveal the path ahead of us throughout our lives.

JC – “I am the Risen One who shines upon you always. You worship a living Deity, not some idolatrous, man-made image. Your relationship with Me is meant to be vibrant and challenging as I invade more areas of your life.” It is indeed challenging to patiently wait as He reveals more of what’s ahead. It can be comforting and exciting too if we lean in and allow that rather than complaining about not being in control. The devotion continues, “Although each day contains twenty-four hours, every single one presents a unique set of circumstances. Don’t try to force-fit today into yesterday’s mold. Instead, ask Me to open your eyes, so you can find all I have prepared for you in this precious day of Life.” See Matthew 28:5-7 and 2 Cor. 5:17.

Power – Job 22:21 – “Acquaint now yourself with Him [agree with God and show yourself to be conformed to His will] and be at peace; by that [you shall prosper and great] good shall come to you.” Joyce speaks truth to us, “Too often we talk about how we feel or what we think when we should be talking about what God’s Word says…. [Jesus] works for us to bring God’s will to pass, but He can work only so far as we agree with God in what He says.”

Prevail #48 – Larson points out that often times the faith of others helps our faith develop and grow, “Naomi’s faith must have impacted Ruth over the years because Ruth – a Moabite – saw through her painful loss and embraced the bigger story God was writing with her life…. She knew the travel would be treacherous…. She was willing to leave what she knew to follow a God she could not see…. Ruth had no idea that we’d still be talking about her today. Do you believe your faith matters just as much? And that your risks are noted in heaven? Don’t choose ease over eternity. Rise up and follow where He leads…. What are you waiting for? Just keep taking the next step. God will do the rest…. Lord Jesus…Forgive me for my tendency to self-preserve and choose comfort over conviction…. Amen.”  Go forth toward the small stretch of blue trusting that you will see through the clouds at some point and then the whole blue sky may eventually be revealed.
