Feb 6, 2026 – A Way

JC – “Come to Me and rest…. When your focus turns away from Me, you grasp for other things…. Return to Me; regain My Presence.”

Streams – Psalm 66:6 – “He turned the sea into dry land, they passed through the waters on foot – come, let us rejoice in him.”  Cowman shares from J. R. Macduff, “How many of us can relate to this experience? Who of us, right in the midst of our time of distress and sadness, have been able to triumph and rejoice, as the Israelites did?”  The more we grow in our relationship with God, the more we are able to experience joy despite our circumstances. I know this especially right now having just witnessed my friend praising God for her past healing and trusting Him as she prayed for her great granddaughter. They have made it to the other side of the sea, but there are still challenges for them to face.

Jesus Calling adds, “The way just ahead of you is very steep. Slow down and cling tightly to My hand. I am teaching you a difficult lesson, learned only by hardship. Lift up empty hands of faith to receive My precious Presence. Light, Life, Joy, and Peace flow freely through this gift.”

Power – John 14:6 – “Jesus said to him, I am the Way and the Truth and the Life; no one comes to the Father except by (through) Me.” Joyce asks, “Have you ever faced a situation and said, ‘There is no way’? …There is always a way. It may not be easy, it may not be convenient… refuse to give up…. Jesus is the Way, and He will help you find a way where there doesn’t seem to be one.”

Prevail #37 – Joshua 1:9 – “This is my command – be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid or discouraged. For the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.” This verse was on the wall at one of the hospitals my father was in several years ago. I posted a picture of it and a friend of mine said she’d seen it when she was in that hospital with her father. Whoever put that there, was preparing the way ahead for those who would pass by that spot needing that reminder and encouragement. We can all be used by God like that even if we never know who was touched.

Larson understands facing concerns and trials as she points out, “Fear weakens us. Discouragement derails us. Yet our fears are real. And in certain seasons of perpetual difficulty, it seems we’re constantly just moments away from careening into the ditch of discouragement.” That verse on the wall caught me as I was growing weary that day. I needed that touch from God to re-energize me for what was ahead in advocating and caring for my father. Larson continues, “Our feet tend to follow our gaze, and when our perspective is skewed, we lose our way. Yet Jesus’ voice [and a sign on a wall] beckons us back to the path of faith…. When He asks us to be brave, He also gives us courage…. He has entrusted to us every blessing, every promise, complete access to His presence, abundant wisdom for every hour.”

Simpson shares Eph vi. 18 – “Praying always for all saints” and asks, “Have you ever learned the beautiful art of letting God take care of you, and giving all your thought and strength to pray for others and for the kingdom of God? It will relieve you of a thousand cares.”

Max prompts us to, “Envision this earth as it was intended to be: completely calm…. ‘I am making everything new!’ he announced (Revelation 21:5)…. The old will be gone. Gone with hospital waiting rooms. Gone with tear-stained divorce papers. Gone with motionless ultrasounds. Gone with loneliness, foreclosure notices, and abuse. Gone with cancer. God will lay hold of every atom, emotion, insect, animal, and galaxy…. I am making all things new.”

Utmost – After sharing 2 Timothy (KJV) “I am now ready to be offered”  Chambers points out that “It is a transaction of will, not of sentiment” and challenges us to, “Tell God you are ready to be offered; then let the consequences be what they may, there is no strand of complaint now, no matter what God chooses. God puts you through the crisis in private…. Externally the life may be the same; the difference is in will. Go through the crisis in will, then when it comes externally there will be no thought of the cost. If you do not transact in will with God along this line, you will end in awakening sympathy for yourself…. The altar means fire… the destruction of every affinity that God has not started and of every attachment that is not an attachment in God. You do not destroy it; God does… and see that you do not give way to self-pity when the fire begins…. When the crisis arises, you realise that things cannot touch you as they used to do…. God will prove Himself to be all you ever dreamed He would be.” He IS the Way.
